POPULATION The city of Villahermosa has an estimated population of 545,433, which equates to 31.83% of the state’s estimated population of 1,817,703. STATE DESCRIPTION Traditionally Tabasco’s primary source for economic activity has been the petroleum industry. A wide range of agricultural, aquaculture and fishery, and forestry based industries and services also exist in Tabasco.
